The Kiwanis Music and Arts Festival of St. Catharines

 

POLICY ON AWARDING SCHOLARSHIPS

Piano

  1. Must play a minimum of two pieces either from two different Classes or in the Concert Group (which consists of three contrasting pieces).
  2. The Chair and a member of the Kiwanis committee shall determine the recipients based on the average highest marks awarded.
  3. Competitors who are registered in the “No Age Limit” Classes are ineligible for scholarships.

Vocal

  1. Must play a minimum of two pieces either from two different Classes or in the Concert Group (which consists of a minimum of two contrasting pieces).
  2. The Chair and a member of the Kiwanis committee shall determine the recipients based on the average highest marks awarded.

Strings

  1. Must play a minimum of two pieces either from two different Classes or in the Concert Group (which consists of two contrasting pieces).
  2. The Chair and a member of the Kiwanis committee shall determine the recipients based on the average highest marks awarded.

Speech Arts

       The Chair and a member of the Kiwanis committee shall select recipients with the highest marks.

Guitar/Band/Brass/Woodwinds

       The Chair and a member of the Kiwanis committee shall select recipients with the highest marks.

 

The number of scholarships awarded to the differing disciplines is, generally, to be done proportional to the number of competitors.
